The NEWTECH Skill Center Construction Technology course will prepare students to work in the construction industry, as well as offering them an opportunity to further their education in an apprenticeship program or specialized field.

  • Flooring and ceiling construction
  • Walls, partitions, and roof construction

Chuck Sauer has attended Spokane Community College where he received an associate Art degree and also has a Career and Technical Educational Certificate which he earned from Eastern Washington University and has been teaching Construction since 1994. He also has numerous Construction certification/licenses and many school endorsements.  His experience and background includes over 30 years in construction he has experiences as a journeyman, Foreman, Job superintendent, Contactor and 18 years in education Field. He is responsible for overseeing the New Tech Construction training program where we build and remodel homes for Spokane Community Development.
