Skills Center Buddy Day

NEWTECH Skills Center will be hosting a buddy day on March 9th. All students currently enrolled in a Skills Center class is able to bring one friend to tour the campus. If you are interest be sure to print the permission form or pick one up in the Skills Center office.

If you would like to bring a friend to the NEW TECH campus on Friday March 9th during your regular attendance time please follow the procedures listed below.

  1. Grab a field trip form from the main office.
  1. Give it to your “buddy” and have their parents fill out the permission section and sign the form.
  1. Have your “buddy” inform their teachers and the main office at your High School that they plan to attend school at the Skill Center on March 9th with you as a field trip.
  1. Your buddy must have parent permission and the permission of your sending High School BEFORE they attend Buddy Day at NEWTECH.
  1. Your “Buddy” must bring their completed field trip form with them to NEWTECH on the 9th in order to not be marked truant at their home high school.

 

 

NEWTECH Summer Academy

Summer is just around the corner and it is time to start registering for the NEWTECH Summer Academy. Be sure to check out the great programs we have to offer!

JUNE ACADEMY: June 20 – July 10 (no classes July 4–6)

7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

JULY ACADEMY: July 11 – July 26

7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • Students must have completed the 8th grade and be enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2012/2013 school year.
  • Students successfully completing a class will earn .5 elective credit.
  • Breakfast and lunch provided by the SPS Summer Meals Program.

 

Open House

NEWTECH Skills Center will be having an open house on Feburary 9th, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to stop by and see what we have to offer.
